Vermicular Enameled Cast Iron Drop Lid can be cleaned with dish soap and a sponge, eliminating concerns about lingering odours and making it easier to maintain than wooden lids. When searing or grilling food, the steam convection created between the lid and the pan bottom ensures even heat distribution, concentration of flavorus. The cast iron lid possesses sufficient weight to also serve as a meat press when searing meat in other flat-bottomed pans.
