studio m' Blossom 13.5cm Small Bowl
This aesthetically shaped, Japanese pottery "Blossom" dishware resembles the chrysanthemum flower, the national flower and traditional motif of Japan. The radiating streaks like petals, elaborately hand-carved by our craftspeople, help to focus the eye on the food. The spacing of the streaks and the plumpness and roundness of the petals have been carefully selected to create an optimal correlation of beauty between the tableware and the food. The signature color glazing makes the streaks on the petals more vivid and expresses a variety of hues. Depending on the nuance of baking, the outline of the streaks may appear yellowish or brownish, which varies from item to item. Blossom Small Bowl is pretty useful for serving individual portions of side dishes or sweets such as ice cream, jelly, Zenzai (sweet red-bean soup with rice cake), etc.
